Ottawa –Mayor Jim Watson, Councillor Shad Qadri, Chair of the Ottawa Board of Health, Dr. Isra Levy, Medical Officer of Health, along with representatives of the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Canadian Public Health Association, Military Family Services and the Mental Illness Caregivers Association, will unveil the Mental Health Caregiver Guide.
The Mental Health Caregiver Guide is a national resource for caregivers of people living with mental illness and mental health challenges. The Guide is accompanied by a comprehensive Resource Guide: Ottawa Area, profiling social service resources located in the Champlain Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) for both caregivers and those living with mental illness.
Event participants will be available for a photo opportunity before the event, and media availability following the Guide’s release.
Date: Tuesday, May 3
Time: 11:45 a.m.
Location: Jean Pigott Place, Ottawa City Hall
110 Laurier Avenue West
Fourteen local and national partners will be on-hand with additional information about social services.
