Mother’s Day was mostly-sunny but definitely crisp, and many of the city’s residents chose to spent it outside.
Though, some in the outer areas of the city reported flecks of snow, there was only a 30 per cent chance of rain forecast, and a high of 11 C. The low was expected to reach a definitely-cold 1 C overnight.
With that in mind, many unpacked their gloves and headed outside to enjoy the day with their families.
The Ottawa Farmers Market was on at Lansdowne Park, and the Main Farmers Market re-opened at the Museum of Nature, for the second year. Others tried to capture the beauty of the flowers bloom across the city, days before the annual Tulip Festival begins.
