Workers may have discovered human bones at Manotick construction site

A forensic anthropologist was called in from Toronto this week to assess whether bones found at a residential construction site in Manotick are human.

Ottawa police confirmed they were called around 4 p.m. on Tuesday after a construction crew building a new home at Cabrelle Place near 1 Line Rd. made the discovery.

Police found a jawbone and some vertebrae in a shallow dirt area that had been backfilled.

The investigation continues.
