A man in his early 50s was taken to hospital in serious condition after being beaten in a bank parking lot at 136 Lepine Ave. in Gatineau on Friday afternoon.
Gatineau police said a weapon, possibly a stick, was used in the attack. The victim received blows to the head, but police said later in the day his life was not in danger.
Police believe there was one or two attackers. One suspect fled in a vehicle but was later arrested.
There was no known motive for the attack.
The investigation continues.
