A 19-year-old man was taken to the hospital from the Rideau Centre on Wednesday night after he was stabbed in the abdomen.
Paramedics said that they were called to the roof garden of the shopping centre at 10:15 p.m.
The victim was alert and oriented when they arrived.
The injuries were deemed non-life-threatening after assessment at the regional trauma centre at the Civic campus of The Ottawa Hospital.
Police were not offering further details Thursday morning.
