Iconic Canadian band the Tragically Hip announced Wednesday they will play the Canadian Tire Centre Aug. 18 as the second-last date of a cross-Canada tour.
The tour dates were announced one day after the band announced that singer Gord Downie has terminal brain cancer.
The tour is in support of the Hip’s 14th studio album, Man Machine Poem, and kicks off July 22, wrapping up in their home town of Kingston on Aug. 20.
Tickets go on sale Friday, June 3 at 10 a.m. through http://www.CapitalTickets.ca

July 24 Vancouver, Rogers Arena
July 28 Edmonton, Rexall Place
Aug. 1 Calgary, Scotiabank Saddledome
