Ottawa – The City of Ottawa recognized participants of Young at Art 2016 with awards this evening at Centrepointe Theatre. Mayor Jim Watson was among the presenters, along with sponsors, and members of the business and arts communities.
Young at Art is a citywide juried art exhibition for artists between the ages of 12 and 19. Since 1996, Young at Art has celebrated the talent of young artists from communities across Ottawa.
Awards were presented in the following categories to participants in each region of the city:
The artwork of some of Ottawa’s best young artists, including today’s award winners, was on display throughout the spring in three of the City’s community galleries.
