Carling Avenue retains title as Ottawa's worst street

We can all agree, Carling Avenue is terrible.

It’s bad enough to, once again, warrant the top spot on CAA’s annual list of Ottawa’s worst roads.

Whether it’s potholes, congestion or a cycling nightmare, the main artery stretching from Kanata to the Glebe has earned its rightful place according to those who voted.

Ottawans voted for Carling Avenue more than any other street.

Some spread the hate on social media.

Carling Avenue
St. Joseph Boulevard
Renaud Street
Main Street
Hunt Club Road
But, there’s a silver lining to all this. Ottawa avoided the shame of making it onto the list of 10 worst roads in the province — recognition that has been bestowed upon Carling Avenue six times. Last year it ranked fifth.

And hey, at least we don’t live in Timmins. It made this year’s list a whopping three times.
