Ottawa – Media are invited to attend a celebration welcoming Syrian refugees to Ottawa hosted by Mayor Jim Watson and Councillor Michael Qaqish, Special Liaison for Refugee Resettlement. This ticketed event for the newly arrived refugees is sponsored and will feature information booths about City and community services, children’s activities and snacks.
Date: Saturday, May 28
Time: 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Location: Aberdeen Pavilion, Lansdowne Park, 450 Queen Elizabeth Drive. Please use the Bank Street entrance.
Paid parking is available on site. Access to the site is also available via OC Transpo or by bicycle.
