Ontario Provincial Police divers are expected to arrive this afternoon to search a vehicle that left the road and flew into Lake Ontario west of Kingston early Friday.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Highway 33 and County Road 6 at around 2 a.m. after residents report of the sound of a crash.
Responders found found a crumpled guard rail and determined a vehicle had gone off the road and into the lake.
Police at the scene say they have not located the driver and the dive team is being called in to determine if there is anyone still in the vehicle.
The vehicle is some distance from the shoreline and fully submerged.
