With the temperature at a toasty 31 C, coupled with the infamous Ottawa humidity, it was time to hit the water Saturday and dozens of people rushed down to Mooney’s Bay for the MEC Paddlefest.
Participants got a chance to demo a bunch of non-motorized watercraft, or put their own canoes or flotation devices into the cooling water.
Environment Canada is forecasting more of the same Sunday, with a high of about 31 C and chance of thunderstorms.
