Ottawa – As part of the Queen Street Renewal project, crews must complete the reconstruction of the intersection of Queen and Bank Streets. To allow the work to proceed, from June 4 to September 5, Bank Street will be closed to southbound traffic from Wellington Street to Albert Street and one lane will remain open in the northbound direction.
A signed detour for vehicles and cyclists will be in place. Pedestrians will be directed to use an alternate crosswalk at Bank and Queen Street depending on the location of the current work.
Businesses on both Bank and Queen Streets are open as usual, and access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Wayfinding signage has been installed to help the public access businesses.
OC Transpo routes 1, 2, 7, 9 and 12 will be detoured. Please check octranspo.com for details.
