Westfest cancels Sunday line up due to heavy rain.
Festival organizers announced Sunday morning that the free music festival, held in Laroche Park this weekend, have forgone their Sunday performances because of weather conditions.
The free music festival hosted a nice crowd enjoying the local acts and summer weather.
Cheers @ElainaWF and #Westfest2016 peeps. Thanks for a great party! Sorry it got rained out today. See u next year! pic.twitter.com/km2ifwQUpa

Performances cancelled on Sunday include: Yaa-Hemaa, Duo d’Accords, Fernando Scatozza Band, The John Punch Band, Tara Holloway, Lemon Cash, Bone, Voices of Praise Gospel Choir, Cody Coyote, David White Deer Charette, Troubadours, Lucky Ron and the Rhode Island Reds and Bella Straight.
Heavy rain was forecast to end by Sunday afternoon, but a risk of a thunderstorm still looms for the evening and well into Monday. The possibility for rain remains high until Wednesday, giving Ottawa a bit of relief from the drought-like conditions we experienced last week. The high was forecast to reach 20 C on Sunday, 21 C on Monday and 23 C on Tuesday.
The festival will be on next year, so those of you who disappointed by the washout, don’t fear.
Thank you to everyone for coming out and supporting us at our new location in #LarochePark. We can't wait to see you again next year!
