Ottawa - Mayor Jim Watson will be joined by former Ottawa Senators defenceman Chris Phillips as they host the #Ottawa4FortMac fundraising event in support of the Canadian Red Cross’s emergency appeal and the United Way’s relief efforts directed towards helping the residents of Fort McMurray rebuild their lives and their community.
Date: Wednesday, June 8
Time: 6:30 to 10 p.m.
Location: Aberdeen Pavilion, Lansdowne Park
The fundraiser will feature an evening of live country music sponsored by New Country 94, with performances by Kira Isabella, River Town Saints, Meghan Patrick, Jordan McIntosh and The Abrams as well as western-themed activities and refreshments from Ottawa’s craft breweries and offerings from Ottawa’s pizzerias.
Due to limited space, we ask all media to RSVP by Wednesday, June 8 at 1 p.m. Media can confirm their attendance by sending an email to Livia.Belcea@ottawa.ca. Media passes will be available on-site to those who RSVP and must be picked up at the Media registration table.
