Police have charged a 24-year-old Ottawa man with offences including luring after a child pornography investigation and say they’re concerned other victims are being “groomed” for sexual exploitation.
They’re releasing few details about the investigation, which they say is to protect the identity of victims.
Juan Pablo Jaramillo-Soto is charged with two counts of luring someone under 18, one count of luring under 16, two counts of making sexually-explicit material available to a child and breach of recognizance.
He is scheduled to appear at a bail hearing Thursday.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Internet Child Exploitation Unit known as ICE at (613) 236-1222 ext. 5660. Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477 or by downloading the Ottawa Police app.
