A 56-year-old Brockville man has been arrested on a charge of mischief in connection with an argument over the shape of the earth on Monday night at St. Lawrence Park.
But the unidentified man, who tossed items including a propane tank in a campfire during an argument with his son’s girlfriend because she insisted the Earth is flat, may feel little consolation.
“He admitted the fight was pretty dumb in its origin (but) officers tried to make him feel better by agreeing with his position that the earth is round,” police said in a release Thursday morning.
The man was released shortly after his arrest and awaits a future court date.
