Ottawa – Motorists and cyclists are advised that construction of the O’Connor Street Bikeway will begin on June 20 and will result in lane reductions during off-peak hours along O’Connor Street, between Laurier Avenue and Fifth Avenue.

To facilitate construction work on the bikeway, work will begin at two sites on O’Connor Street, starting Monday. One crew will begin construction at Laurier Street and continue working south. The second crew will begin at Isabella Street and continue working south. The work is expected to be complete in late fall 2016.

Pedestrian access will be maintained via temporary pathways and with the aid of detour signage. Businesses will remain open as usual during construction.
