The Ottawa Police Service has charged a man visiting the nation’s capital from India with sexual assault.
Police received a report Thursday of a man who had approached a female store employee in Kanata and inappropriately touched her. He was arrested at a neighbouring store shortly afterwards.
Milkhi Mittal, 71, of India is charged with one count of sexual assault. He was scheduled to appear in an Ottawa court Friday.
Police are concerned there could be other victims. They are asking anyone with information to contact Ottawa Police at 613-236-1222, ext. 5944. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477.
