Police in the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais are asking for help in a reported kidnapping and assault, but are saying very little about what happened.
Calling the event “nebulous,” the police say they want the public’s help in figuring out what happened near Meech Lake in Chelsea on Saturday.
A man was kidnapped, held and assaulted, police say, but they won’t say anything about how the event happened, or why, or whether the victim knew the kidnapper or kidnappers, or how the man got away. They will only say he was badly injured but his life is not in danger.
Police are asking for information at a confidential tip line: 1-844-477-2529.
