Ottawa – The Honourable Amarjeet Sohi, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, The Honourable Yasir Naqvi, Attorney General and Member of Provincial Parliament, Ottawa Centre, and Mayor Jim Watson, among other distinguished guests, will participate in a ceremonial soil toss and unveil the final station design for the future Pimisi Station, part of the O-Train Confederation Line project. Pimisi is a unique station, designed in consultation with the Algonquin Community, which will celebrate the culture of the Algonquin people.
Date: Thursday, June 23
Time: 10:15 to 11:45 a.m.
Location: Future site of Pimisi Station, LeBreton Flats
Parking: A shuttle will depart at the Lisgar Street entrance of Ottawa City Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West. The bus will leave at 10:20 a.m. sharp and will return to City Hall at 11:45 a.m. with a second shuttle at noon.
Personal protective equipment is mandatory on site, including a hard hat, steel-toed boots, a safety vest, safety goggles, long pants and a long-sleeve shirt. All attendees must bring their own equipment in order to go on site.
