Ottawa – It’s Summer in the City and there’s a lot to do in and around Ottawa.

To encourage residents to return to the downtown core, the City will provide two hours of free parking in Lot 4 and Lot 5, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 26. Lot 4 (Byward Market) is at 70 Clarence Street east of Byward Market Square and Lot 5 ‎is at 141 Clarence Street, east of Dalhousie Street.

You can also park at City Hall (110 Laurier Avenue West) on Saturdays and Sundays for just $2 during the day (6 a.m. to 6 p.m.) or at night (6 p.m. to 6 a.m.).

There will also be free OC Transpo special bus service running downtown from the Park and Rides at Eagleson, Fallowfield and Trim on Sunday, June 26.

Book your tickets for comedy, music and theatre shows at Centrepointe Theatres and Shenkman Arts Centre. Tickets are on sale now for the 2016-17 season. Hurry, some performances can sell out quickly.

Beat the heat with fabulous programming at City museums, the Ottawa Archives and Ottawa’s many galleries including Karsh-Masson Gallery. Don’t forget to visit the Barbara Ann Scott Gallery and the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame at City Hall.

It’s not too early to register for a summer camp, and it’s not too late to sign up for a summer class.

Programs are also offered at Ottawa Public Library branches citywide.
