Ottawa police need the public’s help to identify two men they allege robbed a taxi driver on Sunday.
The two men were picked up at the South Keys transit station by the taxi driver around 1:30 a.m.
When they arrived at 2920 Fairlea Cres., one of the men pointed a handgun at the driver and demanded money.
The driver had no cash to provide, however, and the men exited the taxi empty-handed. The driver was uninjured.
Police described the first suspect as a black man, 20 to 25 years old, between 140 and 160 pounds with a goatee and moustache. He spoke English and a second language and had an earring in his left ear.
The second suspect is described as a black man between 18 and 22 years old with a goatee, moustache and a skinny build.
