Ottawa – Starting Thursday, June 30, Corkstown Road will be reduced to one lane between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily, between Moodie Drive and the entrance to Abbott Point of Care at 185 Corkstown Road. The road will be fully opened overnight.
The lane reduction is needed to realign Corkstown Road in preparation for work to extend the West Transtitway between Bayshore Station and Moodie Drive. Work on Corkstown Road is expected to be completed in mid-July.
Businesses will remain open as usual and Abbott Point of Care can be accessed from the property’s Moodie Drive entrance as well as the Corkstown road entrance. Flagpersons will be on site to control vehicular traffic.
Paving of the multi-use pathway that runs alongside Corkstown Road is scheduled to be completed next week. Cyclists and pedestrians will be assisted through the construction zone until the pathway paving is complete. At that point, they will be directed to the pathway.
There is no anticipated effect on OC Transpo routes.
