Ottawa Public Health has advised residents of more than 700 homes in the Carp area to boil any water intended for consumption until further notice.
The notice to more than 700 homes is due to a drop in pressure in the town’s communal well system.
People in the affected area are asked to bring drinking water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, making juice, ice and infant formula, or any other food preparation.
The water is fine for uses such as cleaning or showering the city says.
