Ontario Provincial say foul play is not suspected in the Canada Day drowning death of a two-year-old child in Alfred-Plantagenet, about 70 kilometres east of Ottawa.
Police and other first responders were called to a home in the small town at about 1 p.m.
The child had no vital signs and was pronounced dead at hospital.
Hawkesbury OPP would not say whether the child was a boy or a girl, or release any details.
A postmortem examination has been scheduled in Ottawa for Monday.
