Firefighters are tackling a house fire in Manotick that started in the early afternoon on Sunday.
Numerous callers alerted emergency services at about 1:51 p.m. to flames visible from a house at 6411 Deer Valley Cres. On arrival, firefighters found the house and a garage were fully involved in the blaze, and deemed it a working fire. They immediately began a defensive attack.
No injuries were reported at this time. Motorists are being asked to avoid the area, which is a residential street.
