Five people were displaced Friday afternoon after a blaze at a Centretown West duplex caused damage pegged at $50,000.
Firefighters got a 911 call reporting heavy smoke coming from 379 Arlington Ave. just before 3 p.m.
They quickly put out the fire and were still on scene investigating the cause early Friday evening.
The Salvation Army and Red Cross were helping the residents.
