A distracted driver plowed her car into the window of a Quickie convenient store during rush hour Friday afternoon, Gatineau police reported.
The store, located at 117 Front St. in Aylmer, was busy with customers at 5:15 p.m. when the driver stopped paying attention to driving and hurtled into the store’s front window.
Amazingly, no one was seriously injured; only the 59-year-old driver was taken to Hull hospital with minor injuries.
Police did not say if the driver had been texting at the time of the collision, but did say no charges were likely to be laid.
