Everything you need to know about the Hells Angels conference in Ottawa

Hells Angels members from across the country are in town this weekend for their “Canada Run,” an annual convention of sorts.

(Yes, bikers have conventions.)

With as many as 1,000 people expected to show up, police have said it might be the largest-ever gathering of Canadian Hells Angels members.

The biker gang has chapters (which they call “charters”) all over the U.S. and Canada.

Ontario has the most charters in Canada, followed by B.C.

The gathering place in Carlsbad Springs this weekend is to the southwest of Ottawa, just off Highway 417.

The convention is set to run all weekend, and local police forces have beefed up their presence to help prevent any trouble from breaking out.

Social media has already been full of reports of Hells Angels bikers spotted all around the city.
