The Capital Ukrainian Festival is underway in Ottawa and runs through Sunday at the St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Shrine.
On Friday, the Barvinok Ukrainian Dance School put on a show for those in attendance.

The gates open again Saturday at 11 a.m. and at noon the official greeting from government representatives will take place, before a day filled with more music and dance. The festival closes at 11 p.m., with the last shuttle leaving at 11:30 p.m.
