Ottawa police have charged an Ottawa man after an alleged sexual assault that occurred in the Centrepointe area earlier this month.
According to police, a teenaged girl entered a business in the 200 block of Centrepointe Dr. on July 6.
While in the business she was approached and allegedly inappropriately touched by a man working there. The girl ran home and reported the incident to her parents, who called police.
After an investigation into the girl’s claims, police have charged Mahmud Jame, 61 years of age, with sexual assault and sexual interference.
Jame was expected to appear in court Wednesday.
