An apartment building has been evacuated while police investigate an early morning shooting Tuesday on the 1900 block of Jasmine Crescent in the city’s east-end.
Police said a call came in regarding the shooting at 7:34 a.m. One shot was reported fired, said police.
The building has been evacuated while police investigate.
No information was available about any injuries.
No road closures were in place.
The shooting Tuesday is the latest episode of violence in Jasmine Crescent. Nooredin Hassan, 20, was shot in the chest on Jasmine Crescent in March and pronounced dead in hospital.
Last April, Connor Stevenson, 18, was stabbed to death inside a stairwell in his highrise apartment building at 2020 Jasmine Cres. In September, Issaiah Clachar, 17, was stabbed and killed outside that building.
