Police are seeking public assistance in identifying two victims of a fatal crash early Thursday on County Road 2 near the village of Maitland, about 100 kilometres south of Ottawa.
Police were called to the scene at about 2:30 a.m. after a vehicle went out of control and crashed, bursting into flame.
The victims apparently died immediately.
Police are asking for assistance in the identification of the deceased. The vehicle is a Volvo Hatchback that was travelling eastbound.
Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact the OPP at 613-925-4221 or toll-free at 1-888-310-1122.
UPDATE: #Maitland County Road 2 remains closed b/w Blue Church Rd & Maitland Rd. Re-opening time u/k. ^az
