The OPP have identified the young Toronto-area man who possibly drowned while visiting the Perth area as Bryan Phillips.
The 24-year-old man from Richmond Hill was boating with his family in the Narrows Locks area of the Rideau Canal System on Aug. 12 when he fell into the water. He was not wearing a personal flotation device at the time, said the OPP.
Police marine units hunted for Phillips’ body and recovered it the next morning.
A post-mortem examination was conducted on his body Monday.
