Ottawa – To accommodate installation of a large storm-water management structure, one lane will be closed on a section of Rideau Valley Drive south starting on Monday, August 22. The closed lane will run southerly from 40 metres south of the intersection of Rideau Valley Drive South and Old Wellington Street.
One traffic lane will remain open at all times and will be controlled by flagpersons during the contractor’s working hours. During non-working hours, signage will direct vehicles to yield to oncoming traffic. The lane will remain closed until late September.
The sidewalk along the east side of Rideau Valley Drive South will remain open at all times for pedestrians and cyclists.
