Ottawa – The City of Ottawa will make the daily commute smoother for east-end residents by repaving sections of Highway 174. Starting Monday and continuing to the end of September, paving will be underway on the 174 eastbound from Montréal Road to Trim Road, and the westbound through lanes along various sections of the road.
The paving and shoulder rehabilitation will require off-peak lane closures on both weekdays and weekends. At least one travel lane in each direction will be open at all times. No lanes will be closed weekdays from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. or weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., so impact on traffic flow will be minimized.
