It’s another hot and humid day in the capital and, unfortunately, if you were thinking of cooling off in the water at Mooney’s Bay beach, you’re out of luck.

The city posted a no-swim advisory for the popular spot Thursday morning due to elevated E. coli levels.

The city’s four other supervised beaches are well within safe standards however and could be a popular destination for the next few days.

Thursday’s forecast is for a mix of sun and cloud with 40-per-cent chance of showers. The high is expected to be 29 C with the humidex making it feel like 36. The UV index is expected to be 8 or very high.

Tonight is expected to be mainly cloudy with 40-per-cent chance of showers and risk of a thunderstorm with a low of 18 C.

Friday and Saturday are expected to be sunny with a high of 29 C, bumped up to about 33 by the humidex. Nights are expected to be cloudless with lows of about 17.

Sunday should see a mix of sun and cloud with 30-per-cent chance of showers and a high of 30 C.
