Celebration of Housing First milestone taking place August 30

Ottawa – Mayor Jim Watson and Councillor Diane Deans, Chair of the Community and Protective Services Committee, will be joined by community partners and Housing First participants to celebrate the first 250 people to secure permanent housing as part of the Housing First initiative, which is a priority of the City’s Ten-Year Housing and Homelessness Plan. As part of the celebration, a local artist who has experienced homelessness in the past, will be unveiling an art piece.
