The Sûreté du Québec continues to investigate a fiery crash that left one man dead Thursday night on route 315 near Chénéville, about 100 kilometres northeast of Ottawa.
Police say a southbound car left the rural highway at about 9 p.m. while attempting to pass another vehicle.
The vehicle plunged into the forest and struck a tree, bursting into flames.
The driver, whose identity was not released, was declared dead at the scene.
Traffic investigation specialists were expected to be back on the scene Friday morning.
