Police have arrested two people on charges of running a prostitution operation through a number of rental units in the Ottawa area.
On Wednesday, the police tactical unit executed a search warrant on the 400 block of Wisteria Crescent in Gloucester, arresting a man and woman.
The raid followed an investigation that began in April, 2015, involving at least seven sex workers.
An Ottawa man, Qiang Tian, 35, and woman Xi Zhang, 33, each face more than two dozen charges of trafficking in persons and receiving a material benefit from sexual services.
Meanwhile, Jordan Noel, 27, of Ottawa faces a number of assault and procurement charges after he was arrested following a report of an assault in the Barrhaven area last Friday.
