The Ottawa police guns and gangs unit is investigating after a man was injured in a shooting in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The shooting occurred between 3:30 and 4 a.m. outdoors on Rideau Street, in the area near Augusta Street.
Early Sunday morning, the area around the Mingle Room Bar & Lounge at 470 Rideau St. was blocked off by police tape.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
This marks the 45th shooting of the year.
No one is currently in police custody.
