Ottawa anti-gang officers on foot patrol Wednesday night arrested two men, seizing an amount of drugs in “plain view,” as well as a gun.
In a release, police said the officers were walking paths and park areas of Chesterton Drive, in the Fisher Glen neighbourhood, at 9:20 p.m. when they spotted the suspects.
Fawaz Mufarreh, 22, of Ottawa is charged with a variety of weapons charges, as well as careless use of a weapon, possession of a Schedule II drug. Fuad Abdulwali, 25, of Ottawa, is charged with a Schedule II drug.
