The Ottawa Police Service is asking for the public’s help to identify a man believed to be involved in an ATM robbery in January.
Police said the incident occurred at around 2 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2016, after a man withdrew money from an ATM at a plaza near the intersection of Meadowlands and Prince of Wales drives.
After getting his cash, the man encountered two suspects in the ATM vestibule and a dispute ensued. One of the suspects, possibly armed with a knife, took the money the victim had withdrawn.
There were no injuries from the confrontation.
One suspect has already been arrested in connection with the incident. However, during the course of the investigation, images of a second suspect were obtained and investigators are seeking the public’s assistance to identify that suspect.
He is described as a male of Middle Eastern descent, between 20 and 25 years of age.
