Ottawa – Mayor Jim Watson and the ACFO d’Ottawa (Association des communautés francophones d’Ottawa) will be holding a special Franco-Ontarian Day celebration at City Hall tomorrow with local students. Activities will begin with an official flag raising followed by a picnic lunch and free concert showcasing Franco-Ontarian artists such as YAO, Rox Anne Dubé and Brandon Girouard.
Date: Friday, September 23
Place: Ottawa City Hall, Marion Dewar Plaza (Jean Pigott Place in case of rain), 110 Laurier Avenue West
Photo opportunity: 11:30 a.m. (flag raising). The event officially starts at 11:30 a.m. and continues until 1 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to wear green and white in honour of the Franco-Ontarian Flag and to bring a lunch.
