After a brief hiatus, Canadians are allowed on Jeopardy! again — and it didn’t take long for a local to make the cut.

Of course, as is only appropriate for a contestant from Ottawa, he’s a public servant.

Ryan Mill will take the stage tonight, squaring off against a three-time incumbent who’s won $83,800 so far.

(Yes, yes: Mill actually took the stage a while ago, given the pre-taped nature of the show. But you get what we mean.)

Mill is an intelligence analyst working for the CRTC, the body that regulates Canadian broadcasting.
