Ottawa police have laid charges of sexual assault against an Ottawa man following an investigation into allegations that he had contacted a teenager online and arranged to meet with her.
Police said a report was filed earlier this month alleging that a man had repeatedly used social media to contact a 15-year-old girl.
He allegedly met with the teenager and police say she was sexually assaulted “on several occasions.”
Ivan Pipunic, 44, of Ottawa is charged with three counts each of sexual assault and sexual interference, and one count of obstruction of justice.
He was to appear in an Ottawa court on Friday.
