A single family home in Gloucester undergoing renovations was destroyed in a fire early Sunday morning.
Callers reported flames visible a block away at about 3 a.m., fire services said.
Firefighters located the source, a bungalow at 2060 Beaverhill Dr., and called in a two-alarm fire.
The residents were not at home at the time.
Damage to the home was estimated at $375,000. Fire officials’ initial assessment was that it was no longer habitable.
No injuries were reported.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
