Ottawa police are investigating the city’s 14th homicide of the year after a man was fatally stabbed outside a west-end rowhouse during a fight.
One neighbour said he heard screams from his building across the street and when he looked outside he saw a man face-down on the ground “covered in blood” with people were gathered around him.
He told the Citizen that people were screaming “he was stabbed.”
Paramedics were called to the scene on Rosenthal Avenue in the Carlington neighbourhood at 6:15 p.m. and brought the victim to hospital in critical condition.
Another witness said his girlfriend ran outside to perform CPR on the man, who was without vital signs, he said.
Police have not released any information about the suspect.
