Heavy fog is suspected as a factor in a fatal multi-vehicle crash early Friday on Highway 17 in McNab-Braeside Township, past Arnprior.
Renfrew OPP were called to the five-vehicle crash at about 4:30 a.m.
A woman was declared dead at the scene, two others were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police did not release the woman’s identity.
OPP traffic collision investigators are on the scene and Highway 17 remains closed between Calabogie Road and Campbell Drive.
Detours are in place, police advise.
