A man in his 20s was wounded in a shooting on Sunday evening, Ottawa police said.
Police were alerted to shots fired at about 10 p.m. in the 200 block of Brittany Drive near St. Laurent Boulevard. A man, who has not been identified, suffered non-life threatening injuries in that incident, police said.
He was taken to hospital by someone other than the paramedics, that emergency service said.
This is the city’s 53rd shooting of the year.
No one was taken into custody. The guns and gangs police unit is investigating.
